Couple ObserveFortieth Anniversarycontinued from front pageyears. They retired from the farm in 1940 and moved to Mallard where Mr. Kliegl operated a recreation parlor for several years. After selling out to Ervin Schuller they moved to Minnesota where they took over a summer resort at Lake Malack for a year. They returned to Mallard and last fall moved to Des Moines where Mr. Kliegl is the owner of a locker plant.Mr. and Mrs. Kliegl have seven children, who were all present with their families Sunday. They are Warren of Emmatsburg, Owen of Boone, Vincent of Sioux City, Everett of Curlew, Harold of Chicago Heights, Mrs. Tony Lang of Laurens and Mrs. Helen Overman of LeMars.The following relatives from a distance who attended were Mr. and Mrs. John Kliegl of Osgood, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Kliegl and Mr. and Mrs. Alf. Pettit of Emmets-burg, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Kliegl and Conrad Kliegl of Cylinder, Mr. and Mrs. John Goeders of Ruthven and Mr. and Mrs Clarence DeMouth of Waterloo.The Leader joins the many friends of Mr. and Mrs. Kliegl in wighing them many more happy years together.
