Couple ObservedFortieth Anniversaryand Mrs. Henry Kliegl of Des Moines, former Mallard residents, observed their fortieth wedding anniversary Sunday at St. Mary's hall in Mallard from 2:00 to 5:00 o’clock. Over one hundred relatives and friends attended the event and extended gratulations and best wishes.Mrs. Alf. Pettit of Emmets-burg, sister of Mr. Kliegl, andClarence DeMouth tf Waterloo,brother of Mrs. Kliegl, who were 11 the couple’s attendants at their ) marriage, were present for this i happy occasion.I The Claude Pettitt children of i 1 Emmetsburg sang several songs, with their mother playing the p | piano accompaniment.Mrs. Kliegl was charming in a rose colored dress and Mrs f | Pettit wore a pink dress. Their corsages were of red carnations Mr. Kliegl and Mr. DeMouth s | wore red carnation boutonnieres.The refreshment table was e | centered with a tiered red and white wedding cake and red 1.1 tapers in white holders and bouquets of spring flowers on a I two sides.
