50TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARYOn Thursday, May 17th, about 60 neighbors and ol.d friends of Mr. and and Mrs. Walter Jewett in response to invitations gathered at their home. Mr. and Mrs. Jewett were married at West Union, May 17, 1873, and have made their home in or near Arlington since. Four of their daughters were present, Mrs. Nellie Bas-settj being hindered in coming on account of sickness in her .family,A very bountious dinner w’as served by the daughters* to which all did ample justice. The afternoon was spent in renewing acquaintances. A purse of $50 was presented to Mr. and Mrs. Jewett as a token of esteem. Those out of .town in attendance were Mr. and Mrs. John Cor-kerv and son, Miss Maggie Toomey and Pat Toomey from Wadena, Mr. and Mrs. Warner from Manchester, Mrs. Handy and son from St. Charles Minn., and Mrs. Roy Metcalf and Miss G r a c e Rhienhimer f r o m Fayette. •«*»
