Prospects for a grant for such a project are excellent.The Mayor said he believed the most satisfactory progress was made in obtaining definite action on apossible grant of from $1,600,000 to$2,000,000 for housing and slum clearance in South El Paso.Immediately after returning lie turned over to Walter E. Stockwell, City Planning Engineer, a lengthy questionnaire concerning chousingliving conditions in SdUth ElPaso.The Mayor said the Federal Housing Administration will send a representative to El Paso to make a survey and recommendations afterthe questionnaire is completed byMr. Stockwell.“I had two long conferences withassistants of A.
