MR. AND MRS. E. B. TOWLER OF SHOBONIER, CELEBRATE SILVER ANNIVERSARYMr. and Mrs. E. B. Towler were honored at a celebration in observance of their twenty-fifth t wed ding anniversary on Tuesday evening, May 12 by a number of friends and relatives in the basement of the Baptist church in Shobonier.They were married by Rev. C. H. Carlton in the Methodist Parsonage in Ramsey May 12, 1928.Their attendants were Thelma Doolin Riley now of Clinton and Mervel Willett of Berwyn, Illinois. They were unable to attend the clee-bration.The basement was beautifully decorated with spring flowers, and the tables with white and silvei cloths and bouquets.A decorated tiered wedding cake also adorned the center of the serving table.Refreshments of cake and punch were served by The hostesses Mrs. Anna Ballance and Mrs. Carl Towler.They were presented a beautiful1 television lamp from Mr. and Mrs. William Towler and Mr. and Mrs. Tail Towler and sons. They also received more than twenty-five silver dollars.Mrs. Towler. the former Miss Amy Belcher has been one of the most successful school teachers in Fayette and Marion counties.She has been a very popular figure in her communities and schools and being very closely attached to the youthful population, and throughthem, were liked and respected by all school patrons, and has done much in developing young useful citizens for tomorrow.Mr. Towler was Postmastre at Shoibonier at the time of the wedding, and since has been affiliatedwith the Equitable Insurance Company, and at present is jwith theWillett and Towler Implement Company at Shobonier.After a very pleasant evening the guests departed wishing Mr. and Mrs. Towler many more happy anniversaries.
