Lloyd Douglas, • pastor ofan Akron Congregational church,the presentation of scholarshipand activity awards and the giv*Ing of coveted diplomas will feature the occasion. The exercisewUI start at 8 p. mWednesday evening the senior class play, Jean Webster's beloved “Daddy Long Legs'* was given with much credit by a east selected from the class given under the direction of Mias Bessie Taylor, to a crowdedhouse.Judy, the leading role was interestingly and amusingly portrayed by Madeline Lake. This is ;* flkther difficult part, that of an orphan who like Topsy “just growed and, car* ried many other*s burdens as well.The leading male role was taken by Charles Hottman, giving a splendid interpretation of the life of Jervis Pendleton a staid old bachelor shifting from the doldrums of eeiebacy to the malestrom of infatuation. Three youthful roles, those of Jimmie McBride* Sadie .McBride and Julia Pendleton, weredelightfully handled by Paul Hum*iston, Helen Mary Homegardner and Florence Umber. Dorothy Albers,Dorothy Wleland, Miriam Kuauer. Ellen Lehman, Dwight MUiott and Baric Boslaugh were clever in portraying far more mature roles.Five truly mischievous orphans were very ably represented by Eleanor Glora, Elizabeth Beis, Isabel Stockdale, Helen Thompson and Leroy Zorn. Servant parts were well handled by Helen Janney, Mildred Uouth, Carl. Lucal and Cecil Sharpe.
