In 1976, the couple relocated to San Juan County where John continued working in the grocery business. He is a semi-retired sales representative.Virginia was born in Avondale, Colo., and graduated from nursing school at Denver General Hospital. She is a semi-retired registered nurse at Good Samaritan Center.The couple had five daughters, the late Deborah Burton-Keen, Diane R. Clausen and husband Hugh of Albuquerque, Cynthia S. Burton of Huntington Beach, Calif., Kathryn G. Smith and husband Porter of Aztec, and Lorrie A. Smith and husband Robert of Aztec.They also have four grandchildren, Jennifer A. Smith and Andrew Smith of Aztec and Kristofer and Kyle Clausen of Albuquerque.The couple enjoys family gatherings, friends, gardening and traveling together.»kt
