nrdDESTRUCTION BY TORNADOs.Last Sunday we passed the site of Shilo church and the Tietmet-er farm in York county, which h1 were demolished in a tornado on; s May 11th. The fury of the.storm: i is evidenced by the total destrtilri ' tion of' the church and’ the clean: sweep of the ifarm buildings ana machinery on the farm just a short v_ distance across the road from thery1 church. It is remarkable that the ^ J parsonage on .the church lot, out-[{j 1 side of some windows blown out, js . was hardly touched by the tor-' nado. In the shor.t path of the tornado the buildings were reduced to kindling, leaving hardly Id vestige of what had been there ie' before.GOLDEN WEDDINGMr. and Mrs. George Shore of Osceola celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at .their home on Sunday, with a family dinner and a few old friends in for the afternoon.
