dtah National Park Bills Hearings SetWASHINGTON, D.C. - Rep. Gunn McKay, D-Utah, has announced hearings on three Utah National Park bills now before Congress will be held in Washington, June 14 and 15. The hearings will be held before the House Interior Committee Subcommittee on National Parks and Recreation and will deal with two measures to create new national parks in Utah and another to change the boundaries of another existing park.Testimony will be heard on proposed legislation to create Arches and Capitol Reef National Parks and on a bill to expand and change the boundaries of Canyonlands National Park. Rep. McKay and Sherm Lloyd of Utah co-sponsored the bills to create Arches National Park and to change the Canyonland boundaries, while Mr. McKay is the author of the Capitol Reef National Park measure in the House.Persons interested in testifying at the hearings should prepare at least 80 copies of their testimony in advance andsubmit it to the office of Rep. McKay or Subcommittee Chairman Rep. Roy A. Taylor of North Carolina.
