Maryland-Meinbers of Mr. stockdale’s family surprised kirn Sunday 'when they came to his home with a basket dinner. The guests numbered 42 and were seated, at the dinning room table which had as its centerpiece a tiered birthday cake-' The cake had been baked and decorated by his granddaughter, Misa Haael Stockdale - of Sandusky. Vfive children, 16 grandchildren; end eight grandchildren were present at the dinner. Two sons. Ralph stock -dale, Sandusky, and Herbert Stock-dale. Zanesville, were unable to attend because of previous arrangements. The honor guest enjoyed the day and was able to be with them in tha yard- Pictures were taken of four groups of lour generations. One of these, which included Phillip Stoch-dale. Rrank. Stocdale. Harold Stock-dale, and Tommy Stockdale. carried family name through the four ^aerations.Those present for the occasion were Mrs. Belle Conaway. McLuncy, a sister of Mr. Stockdale: Sir. and Mrs. Frank Stockdale. Mr. and Mrs. Harold ‘ Stockdale and son Tommy. Clarence Stockdale. Hildagard Erny. and Stockdale. all of Sandusky: Mrs. Ralph Gillespie. Mr. and Mrs. Carroll Gillespie, and'Mrs. Dorothy wa-sen, Helena. Ohlet Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Gillespie and daughter Darlene Ana. Ftemont. o.; Mr.'and Mrs, W. 35. Stockdale. daughter Jeanette. Mr- and Mrs. W. E. Bowers, Mr. and Mrs. W. 1C. Halt and daughter* Mary l-ou Peggy. John Bowrn, Mr. and Mi*.
