Evelands Mark 50fh anniversaryMr. and Mrs. Emery V. Eveland marked 50 years of marriage Saturday during a family dinner party.Married in Janesville, Iowa on May 17, 1919, they moved to Long Beach in 1942 from Mason City, Jowa.Eveland retired in J967 from the Long Beach Unified School District and Mrs. Eveland has been a member of the Long Beach Really Board for 22 years.Both are members ofEastern Star and White Shrine. He also is a mem-ber of the Masonic Lodge and past patron of OES.They have five children, 22 grandchildren and 12 great-grar.d children.Their three sons • Edward, vice principal ul. Poly High School; Bill, n building contractor, and Robert, a Merchant Marine — live in Long Beach. Two daughters — Mrs. Ted Thorneblade and Mrs. Betty Simmons — reside in Iowa.MR. and MRS. E. V. EVELAND
