Bodine Wheels Pinto Into Winner's CircleSTAFFORD — Geoff Bodine, from Bellingham, Mass., drove a Dick Armstrong-owned Pinto to a victory in the 30-lap NASCAR modified feature at the Stafford Motor Speedway Saturday night.An announced crowd of 2,700 watched as Bodine topped Dick Caso of Cromwell for the triumph. Fred De Sarro finished third, John Rosati took fourth, and Gene Bergin was fifth. Rounding out the top 10 were Len Qeaves, Ron Bouchard. KenI Diiriifla Cot IBouchard, Don Ayer, and Tom Sylvester.The feature had only one caution, which came on lap seven, when Ed Flemke hit the wall coming off turn two. Flemke’s car suffered severe damage and was towed to the infield and out of the race.Keith Williams of Hope Valley, R.I. won the consolation feature, while Gary Ryan of Taftville, Conn., won the All-American Sportsman. The Street Division was won by Ron Olsen of Broad Brook.—Gale Sweatland
