?Ipci!tiSnCommencement exercises for the class of 1940, Brookfield Junior High School, were held last night in the High School auditorium.One hundred and ten pupils completed the prescribed courses in the lower grades and will enter the senior school this Pall for the three-year finishing course.' There were 60 boys and 50 girls,The auditorium was filled with parents, relatives and friends of the young graduates. All were seated on the stage, the young ladies dressed in special formats and the young men in the correct attire for the gentleman about to step out for the evening. The evening marked the beginning of the “stepping out” period for these youngsters. Their next step, which carries them to the senior high school this Fall, has a different meaning.
