Dr. Herbert Salis, 58, Killed by AutomobileDr. Herbert Salis, 58, 2 Rolling Rd., Overbrook Hills, was killed by an automobile May 2 as he rushed to help the victim of an automobile accident.According to witnesses, Dr. Salis left his office and was on his way to aid Janice Polin, whose car had gone out of control and hit a tree near 77th St., when he was struck.Dr. Salis received a master’s degree from the University of Pennsylvania and was graduated from Penn’s School of Medicine. He was an Army veteran of World War II.He is survived by his wife, the former Leah Kan ter; two daughters, Esther and Mrs. Jeanne Hur-witz; two sons, David S. and Barry; and two brothers, Eugene and Arthur.
