Reid, wellknown Manistique resident* since 1898. will observe the fiftieth anniversary of their marriage in a celebration at their home. 132 Chippewa avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Reid were married at Deckerville. Mich.. May 17. 1886Mrs. Reid, nee Emma Cline, was born to the former Mr. and Mrs. David Cline. June 14. 186(1. near Toronto, Canada, and moved to the Cnited States when about seven years old. Mr. Reid, whose parents were Mr. and Mra. J. Reid was al«o born in Canada on April 30. 1864. and came to this country with his parents while still young. Fathers of both Mr. and Mrs. Reid were well known in Manistique. having visited in the, city on several occasions. The elder Mr. Reid also hunted in this vicinity with his son.After their marriage. Mr. andMrs. Reid lived in Deckerville fora few \ ears and then at Port Mur-Hon. Oscoda and McKinley in lower Michigan before coming to South Manistique in 1 898. In 1 900 they moved into their present home on Chippewa avenue.Seven children horn to Mr and Mrs. Reid are: Norman. Ladysmith. Wis.: Mrs Ed (Nina)Trygg. Chippewa Falls. Wis.; Mrs,A A. (Mary) Rubl.v. Farmington. Mich Mrs. J. C. ( Elva ) Wilcox.Rirmingham. Mich.: and Fred, iStanlec and Maurice of Manistique. There are also 23 grandchildrenMrs. Reid has three sisters Mrs. F'. v a Milne. Port Burwell. Canada: Mrs. Elva Thornton. Chile go Mrs Mae Rirkland. Will-mar. Minn.; and one brother, W. N. (’line, of New York City. Sisters
