The contractor, Mr. A. Lnndstrum of Joliet, says he will have the church finished and ready for dedication by September 10. The dedicatory jubilee will be started the Sunday preceding, September 3, and a whole week’s program will be given. The Methodists have organized a Methodist Social Union in which all the Methodist churches of the Altons are affiliated and they will help make the dedication of the new church a memorable event in the history of Alton Methodism. Last evening a meeting was held at which plans were talked over and it was decided to give a banquet under the auspices of the social union some time during the week of the dedication.
