Red Rive* Exodus.—C. F. Chapman, Mr. Shanlsj’s engineer, is about starting with a party consisting in part of some members of the Midland staff, to surrey Townships in Manitoba. Messrs. Sprague and Cowpor, of Dodge Co., are also about starting to Fort Garry to manage the Red River branch of that immense lumbering conoern, and we know of quite a number of young men hereabouts who will leave to go by the Dawson route, as soon as boats commence running between Collingwood and Fort William.—** V uUor.”
