Whipple si.. celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary at a dinner party given by their children last Saturday in the West room of Syrens restaurant on Archer ave.The former Antonia Bernadette Martyka and Mr. Giertuga were married May 13, 1917. in Sacred Heart church on Wolcott ave. Both were born in Poland and came to America when in their teens. He retired two years ago after being employed at Crane Company for 27 years. He was an inspector.Mrs. Caroline Blskup. 5245 S. Honorc *t: Mrs.Joseph Lonski. 5233 S. Winchester ave., and Mrs.Stephanie Bukowakl, 5140 W. Pensacola ave.. who were attendants at the wedding also attended the anniversary dinner. Stefan Lonski. 4543 S. Hermitage ave., son of Mrs. Joseph Lonski, who was the youngest guest at the wedding, also attended this dinner party.Their four children who also were present are Mrs. Judy J. Lisatz of Ann Arbor, Mich.; Mrs. Josephine Ronkowski of Park Forest, III.; Joseph of 10445 S. Albany ave., and John Jr.. who lives with his parents. The three grandsons and granddaughter arc Edward and Joann Ronkowski, Jerry Giertuga and Bcrnie J. Lisatz.
