Judson’s time was 1:57.39.The two swapped finishes in the 100 breaststroke. Judson finished first in 58.21 while Seljak qualified second at 58.77.Judson and Seljak also were part of Sonora’s 200 freestyle relay team that qualified second at 1:30.07.On the girls side, Jaimee Lind-strom of Woodbridge qualified first in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.33. She also qualified third inthe 200 individual medley. No other girls swimmer from Orange County qualified first in an individual event.Tim Haney of Los Alamitos qualified third in the 200 IM and 500 freestyle. Teammate Geoff Olson qualified third in the 100 butterfly.Ray Schmidt of Katella qualified fourth in the 50 freestyle and 100 breast.Jennifer McLeod of Trabuco Hills qualified In the distance events with a sixth in the 200 free and a second in the 500 free. McLeod’s time of 5:03.21 in the 500 left her under a second behind top qualifier Jenny Marquardt of Riverside Poly, setting up a showdown in Saturday’s finals.Dana Nakaya of Woodbridgequalified second in the 200 IM and fourth in the 100 freestyle. Brethren Christian’s McKinley Culp qualified third in the 200 free and fifth in the 500 free.Other county girls who qualified for two events included Steffany Pearce of Sonora, fifth in the 200 IM and third in the 100 fly.
