Rural LaHarpe Couple Celebrate AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. Owen Beal of rural LaHarpe celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary at the home of their daughter, Mrs. Jack Mahan in Moran Sunday.Mabel Robenstein and Owen Beal were united in marriage May 11, 1913 at the Diamond Church during the first Mother’s Day service.The children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the couple were present. A family dinner at noon was followed in the evening by refreshments of home-made ice cream and a three-tier wedding cake baked by Mrs. Mahan.Those present for the day were the honored guests, Mr. and Mrs. Owen Beal, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Beal of Lenexa; Mr. and Mrs. Northcott Aiken.
