FRIENDS OF “DEBORAH|tt°N°R FOUNDERMrs. Esther Bonow, founder of the Philadelphia Friends of Deborah and popularly knovyn as the “Mother” ofthe organization, was honored at a din-der on Monday evening. The event was in recognition of her ten years of active affiliation, and in observance of“Mother’s Day.”Preceding the dinner, a meeting washeld at the Deborah Chest Clinic, 820 North 7th Street, and then the guests went to the dinner at 619 West Girard Avenue. Mrs. Anna Lehrfeld, presi-dent for the sixth term, was toastmis-tress. Mrs. Bonow received the greet ings of a number of friends, her husband, Jacob Bonow, who is the founder of Brith Achim, one of the largest Jewish independent beneficial societies, and of her children and grandchildren.The organization was started with 22 members and within a short time grew to include 100.
