Want Park Accepted., A committee from the Lions Club appeared before the commission for the purpose of learning what attitude the commission takes in regard to the acceptance of the Winnebago park property recently offered the city by the club. The Lions Club owns property at Winnebago park facing the water front. The park site itself is a triangular section two-tenths of an acre in area. If the city accepts this site, about 045 feet,of beach front will be available for municipal use.Recently the city rejected the of- j fer on the ground of restrictions of the area involved. The Lions wish to publicly dedicate the park to the city on Memorial Day and want to know what the city intends to do so that plans for the, day can be arranged. IA meeting set for Tuesday with j George Eger of the Lions Club will probably decide the fate of the park. Several commissioners felt that the small size of the park site to he donated would be useless for building \ purposes and that the upkeep of the entire Winnebago park would be too great for the city to bear at the -present—time.-;—=— • i
