The lecture | was well attended bv students and adults.The annual May Day pageant was presented Wednesday, May f, at the Carver erymnasium. Miss B Clarkson was crowned* t cqueen. Her attendants were Ella Mae Brown. Joan Clark and Marjorie Gradington.The following is a schedule of coming activities to he presented before the closing of school: recital bv the School of Fine Arts, sponsored bv Miss Jola Bowden. Thursday Mav 13; Junior High Exercises, Monday, May 24: Miss O M. B. Jackson, sponsor; Commencement exerciser, Thursday, May 27, Mrs. M E. Bass, sponsor. The Baccalaureate service willbe held at Wesley Chapel A. M. E. Church, Rev, R. C. Peterson, pastor. Rev. J. L. Dawson, pastor of j David’s Chapel Church of Austinwill be the speaker.The honor students of the sor.-icr class are Thelma Limuel, Marjorie Limuel and Minnie Lee Moore.Mrs, E. M. Miller and a group of students attended the annual state meeting of Homemakers oi America which was held at Prairie View, AM College on May 7 and 8.f
