Mrs. Anna Stefek of old Sweet Home died last Thursday night at the advanced age of 10G years. She came to Texas from Austria in 1874, and moved to Lavaca countyin 1875.The weather bureau must have slipped a cog last Thursday. A heavy rain fell about 2 o’clock and at night a sharp norther blew up, and overcoats and blankets were in brisk demand.
