Lambs wed 50 yearsxMr. and Mrs. Willard Lamb of 190W. Bacon St., Hillsdale will celebratetheir 50th wedding anniversary at an open house in the St. Peter’s Episcopal Church parish hall Sunday, May 15, from 2 to 5 p.m.Helen Luiclle Adams and Willard Charles Lamb were married May 20, 1933 by the Rev. Kerwood Alexander in St. Peter’s Episcopal Church, Hillsdale. Their attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Dear of Osseo.Mrs. Lamb was a housekeeper at Hillsdale College from 1938 to 1943 and part-time caretaker at Oak Grove Cemetery, Hillsdale, from 1948 to 1960. She was a clerk at the G.C. Murphy Company in Hillsdale from 1951 to 1966 and at Kizer’s and Vescio Stores in Jonesville from 1966 to 1968. She was custodian at Jonesville High School from 1968 to1971 when she retired with a disability.Mr. Lamb was caretaker at Oak Grove Cemetery from 1933 to 1936; worked in the Hillsdale College maintenance department from 1936 to 1942; and Allied Plant #3 from 1942 to 1948. He was sexton at the Oak Grove Cemetery from 1948 to 1960 and was custodian at Hillsdale High School from 1960 to 1970. He was custodian at Jonesville High School from 1970 to 1973 when he retired.Mrs. Lamb enjoys handicrafts and Mr. Lamb likes hunting and fishing, when health permits.The open house is being planned by their children, Mrs. Jauretta Dale of Marshall, Mrs. Harry (Jeanette) Simons of Quincy, Willard W. Lamb of Hudson, and Mrs. Robert (Brenda) Pease of Pittsford. There are 14 grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.Mr. and Mrs. Willard C. Lamb
