IFifteen or twenty barns, a number of smoke-houses and other out-buildings were destroyed, not included in above.The entire loss is estimated at from £125,-i 000 to 8150,000, one-third of which is probably covered by insurance. iThe Fort Wayne Fire Company was carried from Fort Wayne to Delphos, a distance of 45 miles, in 41 minutes, running time! The Van Werl Company was brought down in 14 minutes, and threw water on the fire in 28 minutes from the time they left Van Wert. The Lima Company made good time, and allperformed nobly.Thomas Manix, Chief Engineer, John Hen-; derson, Foreman Hose, of the Fort Wayne Fire Department, J. II. Foster. Foreman Van Wert Fire Company and D. Fisher, j Foreman pt Lima Company, are entitled to special mention for th:ir gentlemanly deportment and efficient services.In consequence of onr absence from town during the fire, many incidents of a serious as well as a laughable character will remain unwritten.
