AmasofBookies GivenChange of VenueFULLERTON, May 9.—P. A. Snideman and Frank Childress of Fullerton, who were recently arrested in the California hotel in Fullerton on charges of book-making, were granted a change of venue for their hearing from City Judge H. I. Spence in Fullerton Monday, when they appeared in Fullerton justice court with their attorney Harold McCabe. The motion for change of venue asserted that the defendants felt they could not have a fair trial in the Fullerton city court by reason of prejudice and bias of said judge.”As a result of the motion, which was granted by stipulation of attorneys, prosecution of the case has been referred to the office of the district atorney and the hearing probably will be in La Habra or Anaheim justice court.Charges against Snideman and Childress were brought under the Fullerton city ordinance, which makes the offense of maintaining a place in which bets are received on horse races a misdemeanor.apoiis, dictionBaker,Portia;merly Denvei former The are fii by theafter, tion of graphi their (Elevator Shunned 56 YearsPITTSFIELD, Mass. —(UP) — Never in his 56 years as an employe of a life insurance company office here has Charles F.
