Mrs. Rebeooa Wood.Mrs. Rebecca Wood died at the borne of her daughter, Mrs. Williann Holmes, to this city, oti Tuesday evening, May7, 1907, at the advanced age of nearly 8- years. Several weeks ago she whs severely burned while trying to put out a blaze, the lace curtains having caught fire from a lamp. She had almost recovered from the burns but the accident whs a great shock to her nervous system and a few days ago bronchial trouble developed, which ended her life. Funeral services, conducted by the pastor, D. L. Duukle berger, will be held at the Christian church this afternoon at two o’clock, after which interment will take place in the Salem cemetery.Rebecca Clowser was born in Noble county, Ohio, on September 20, 1825. On Juoe 27, 1849, she was married to Nimrod Wood. They were the parents of five children, four sons and one daughter. One son died at the age of seventeen years. Those Jiving are Fred C. Wood and Mrs. Williann Holmes, of this city, and Isaac and J. H. Wood, of Benton township. The family moved to Iowa from Ohio about fifty years ago. During her long residence in this counlv deceased had won the love and esteem of all j who anew her. She had been a mem- \ ber of the Christian cuureh for about , forty years and was a grand, good lt;woman. Her many kindly deeds will i ever be remembered by a large circle of friends who will extend heartfelt ,sympathy to the sorrowing relatives. i
