April 23. in Medical Art* Hospital at San Antcnio, after about a week's illness during which he had undergone an appendectomy and two other operation*. *H« was born Nov. 14. 1908. at Oakland, And lived there until he was 17. At that ego he went to Floreavllle, where he later married Miss Elcr.ora Albert of Floresville. anti shortly after their marriage they moved to San Antonio. He was a trustee of Zion Lutheran Church in San Antonin for many yeftrn and was manager of amateur baseball teams for several sea-sOns.Surviving in addition to his wife ar« three children. Iria June, 15, Nor-win Jr.. 12. and Gerald Wavnc, 4; his father, Frank Schimcek of Weimar; his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Seim of Orange Grove; three slaters, Mrs. Frank Ulrich, Mrs. Fred Wanjura and Mrs. Ernest. Thumann, all of Weimar: and four brothers, Charles of Weimar, Emil and Bennie of Brooklyn, N. Y., and Edir.und of East Bernard.Among those from here who attended his fur.orol. In addition to tho survivors named above, were Mr. and Mrs. Robert Berger. Mrs. Sylvester Vacek and children, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Schimcek. Mr. and Mrs. August. Schimcek.
