Harold Lloyd Head was born October 10, 1921, at Browning, Missouri. The family came to Laclede about 9 years ago. Harold was graduated from Laclede high school in 1940. He enlisted in the Navy that same year, soon after his graduation, and after a period of training at Great Lakes, was assigned to the Battleship Oklahoma, and lost his life curing the attack on Pearl Harbor, December 7, 1941.He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Noel Head, three sisters, Mrs. Thelma McCorble of Kansas City, and Reba and Lois of the home, *and one grandmother, Mrs. Julia Myers of Browning.The last visit home by these boys was on October 3, 1940, when on their way from the training station to their assigned ship.
