Mr. Bailey i J was born in Baker township, this county, on May 9, 1855. His parents, were John G. and Mary (Forest) i * Bailey, early Linn county pioneers. Mr. Bailey, for more than fifty years, has been a justice of the peace and notary public in the county. He traces his ancestors directly to General Rob- 1 ert E. Lee, the famous Confederate 1 general. !cOn the same day in Austria, Mr. | * Steiner was born, coming to America 1 at an early date. For many years he * was a prominent merchant of Marcel-1 ine, but recently he. along with Mrs.jJ Steiner, came to Brookfield to make \1 their home. No doubt there will be seme tall stories told when Judge Bailey and Mr. Steiner get together 1 tomorrow. i;
