FRED IIOHN(Photo by Dean)iETHAN ~ An early morning Mass marked the start of the observance of the golden wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hohn April 27. The Rev. Walter Duraczynski officiated at the Holy Trinity Catholic Church.At noon a dinner was served at the Parish Hall to about 120 guests and later an open house was given with approximately 300 guests present.Assisting with the dinner were Mesdames Charles Hagedorn, Lea Mutziger, Edward Lang. Joe A. Weber, Albert Hohn and Della Wermers and the granddaughters and grandsons.Toastmaster was Carl Hohn. Also assisting were Mrs. Henry Oster, Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Hohn and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Meinen. Members of the Immediate family assisted at the reception.Mrs. Mike Endres of Madison. Wis. Mr. and Mrs. Everette Hohn and daughters and Mrs. Frances Endres of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mis. Wallace Hohn and children of Sioux Falls; Mr. and Mrs. Victor Bauhs, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Bauhs of Faulkton; Dr. and Mrs. Joe Hohn and son of Yankton and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Endres of Alexandria.(11Three of the attendants at the wedding 50 years ago, present for the celebration were Mi*, and Mrs. Frank Endres and John Endres. Mrs. Odella Bauhs, another attendant, is now deceased.Married April 18, 1900 In the SS Peter and Paul Catholic Church, Fred Hohn and the former Rose Endres have lived in the Dimock and Ethan vicinity all their lives. Mr. Hohn has served as a county commissioner for the past 20 years.Mr. and Mrs. Hohn have six sons and 23 grandchildren. Their sons are Orville of Mitchell. Marvin of Planklnton, Norbert of Parkston, Virgil of Ethan, Everette of Minneapolis and Wallace of Sioux Falls.
