IlM «nu 83 years ag0 Wednesday, something very similar to this scene did occur when Reno got underway with an auction sale of townsite lots. The depot was just about the first building in Reno, ML C, Lake having insisted it be built at the time he deeded his land for the townsite. Single lots brought as much as $1,000 during the auction, there being plenty of people interested in getting in on Reno's ground floor.
