Every* one in the community knew him as a bright manly boy. He was always a dutiful son, obeying his parents and helping to bear the burdens of those around him. He had a kind and cheerful disposition and among his many playmates and friends, whom he had made at school and elsewhere, hemade lasting friendships, and had no enemies. He gave promise of a strong young manhood, and it seems sad Indeed that he should be thus untimely cut down in his youth, by the cold hand of death, when all the great possibilities of life were just beginning to open for hjm to realize and enjoy.
