LETTER TO THE EDITORTo the Editor:Ambassador Elbridge Dur-brow, Director of the Institute for American Strategy, asked me to contact some key persons of this community so they may help us inform the American people that the United States has lost its military superiority.“The Soviet Union is already ahead!” We have lost our safety margin. He said most Americans just do not realize this. As a matter of fact, this is no ‘Thicken Little” story. If Russia would strike us now, wewould be wiped out, no doubt.The Institute for American Strategy is just launching a national Education for Survivalprogram, and announcing therelease of “Only the Strong”,a full color 27 minute 16 mm motion picture designed for prime time TV. This film will help alert the general public concerning our plight, and the impending danger and or graveness of our Defense problem.It has been suggested that the American Legion Post, Rotary Club and or other groups rent this film for $42 per day or buy it for $285.00. Alter showing it several times, they maycontribute it to a local school.1 believe there are persons In this area who would contribute the $265.00 cost of “Only the Strong” film. I remember how well persons around herecooperated during the fundraising for victims of “Camille”. Some donated as much as $100.00 or more eachNone of us. I’m sure, want to be ruled by Russia’s iron hand. Therefore, let us prepare, hope, and pray that the bloodshed will not come to otir soil - USA.The Hon.
