SILVER ANNIVERSARY OF ABATH COUPLEMr. and Mrs. Edward Murphy Given Party In Honor ofEventMr. and Mrs. Edward Murphy were tendered a surprise party in honor of their 25th wedding anniversary on April 21 at Tuessic hall in Woolwich. Mr. Murphy’s mother, Mrs. Mary Murphy, formerly of Woolwich and now of Boston, was also feted in celebration of her 77th birthday at the same time.Dancing was enjoyed to vie music and refreshments were served. Mrs. Murphy cut and served the anniversary cake and, Mrs. Mary Murphy also cut and served her birthday cake. Assisting their mother were Miss Florence Murphy and Mrs: Robert Young. Sandwiches and beverages were served by Mrs. Ralph Palmer and Mrs, Clifford Caton.Guests included Miss Patricia Murphy, Miss Florence Murphy, John Murphy, Mrs. Charlotte Thornton, Mr. and Mrs. Sherwood Francis, Mrs. Florence Temple, Mrs. Marion Leach, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Allen and Miss Beverly Carleton, all of Woolwich; Mr. and Mrs. George Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Francis Smith of Freeport; Mrs. Margaret Calkin and Mr. and Mrs; John Lavers of South Freeport; Mr. and Mrs. Pleam Jewett of North Yarmouth; Sk lst/c Arthur Hegland, U. S. Navy, and Mrs. Hegland, Mrs. Mary Murphy and Mr. and Mrs. Richard Roberts, of Boston; Mr. and Mrs. Richhrd Young and daughter Lorraine of Plymouth, Mass.; Seaman 2nd class Kent Murphy, U, S. Navy, of Revere.
