Sanger Herald Has Anniversary EditionIn commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the founding of the town of Sanger, a golden jubilee edition of the Sanger Herald was off the press last Friday. A 56-page publication the Issue contains a personal message of congratulation from Governor Frank F. Merriam. Illustrations of the city’s pioneer residents and early buildings and organizations are profusely contained in the edition.The Sanger Herald was established a year after the beginning of the town by Publisher E. P. Dewey. During the first years it had a total of 400 subscribers. In 1935 the publication was selected as one of the 11 outstanding weekly newspapers in the United States. It is now a real community newspaper, serving a diversified agricultural area. Seymour C. Sterling is the present editor and manager.
