mine.SHEAKLEYVILLE,(From Another Correspondent.)The commencement exercises of the Sheakloyville high school were held In the Methcdist church Friday evening, April 28, this being the first graduating class of the school. The class numbered fifteen, ten boys and five girls. The orations of the evening were given by Miss Helen A. Limber, subject, A Liberal Education; Ralph MeClurg, subject, ** Beauty,” and Miss Emma Bachop, subject “Character/* and seemed to b.e well appreciated by the audience. The invocation and benediction were delivered by Rev. Deem of the M. E. church. The graduates were as follows:Helen A. Limber, Emma E. Bachop, Fern Galvin. Lucy Vaughn, Clara Vaughn, George Coulter, Roy Mo Kean, Ira Lackey, Paul Carey, Jos oph Jleasley, Lee Limber, Donald Limber, Ralph MeClurg, Leon Mars-idler, David Vaughn..After the oration exercises the teacher, Earl Bachop, Introduced to the audience Prof. Bigler of Etlin* boro slate normal who gave a talk on education, going back to the first pioneers of education down to the present time. The professor’s talk was very interesting and instructive. After Prof. Bigler's talk he then presented the diplomas to the class.
