Golden, Wedding'.The golden milestone of the weddedlife of iff. and Mm. Hilton Plotter, sr., was- reached by them Thursday, and the event was oelebmted in m. fitting, manner last evening at their home,, So ^ 944, North Broadway. The worthy couple ware enjoying a quick ’ evening surrounded by their family, wheat air 8 o’clock they were surprised by the- appearance of numerousfriends-bearing heavily laden baskets containing refreshments and valuablepresents. TW invitations had been issued by Misses Mollie Hoagland and Nanie- Trotter, unknown to Mr. and Mrs. Trotter, and the seuret had’ been,bo well kept that the surprise was. complete. After receiving the warm, congratulations of their guoeta and good wishes for the future Mr. and Mra. Trotter were presented with the following gifts; gold spoon holder, Mr. and Jam D. Oburcbmn; gold-lined cord receiver, Mr.; and Mrs, W. B; Payne, Virginia, 111,; noir-for, gold frame, Mr. and Mrs. MLTSin-stine; pair gold urns, Mr. and Mr a A. W. Conklin, Mr. and Mrs. T. h. An-i trim, Mk and Mm William Powers, Mr, and Mrs. M. titafford.and Mr. and Mrs. P. 9. Shellabargev; raid-lined sugar bowl, Mr. and Mrs' J. M, Berger; gold napkin ring, MesdameeBowman and KenneUey; gold ^enholder, Mr. and Mrs J. Black, vir- ( gmia; gold jewel case, Mr. and Mrs.' D. EL Baldwin; gold napkin ring. Mr. and Mrs. A. T. Tucker; gold-bowed spectacles, Mr. and Mrs. A. Mottram; gold-lined cream pitcher, Dr. and Mrs. J. IX Wheeler;gold-bowed spectacles and gold rings, Misses Nannie and Nora Trotter, Aul-ton Trotter, jr., and Samuel Trotter-Sapper was served at X o’clock. Tha vnmu was excellent. Kfty-two kind*, of cake were upon the table. Amuse’-meats of various kinds were indulged in daring the evening, and the fwlfit-ities were ooatinned until a late hoar.
