Noon, in compliment to Mtb. JameB J. Geary of Alicia.Guests, who included Intimate friends of the honor guest, for whomthe occasion represented the re-cementing of tiee of earlier years, assembled at the Gearing home shortly after 2 o'clock, and their presence discovered by Mrs. Geary on her arrival from Pittsburgh where she had motored that morning in company with her husband who was on the inside of the secret and an agent in the successful carrying out of the surprise plans.Bridge, five hundred and other informal games provided afternoon diversion, with Mrs. Ed Lyon and Mrs. J. L. Raune capturing first and second honors in bridge.Centering the birthday table where a tempting three-course repast was served, was a graceful bowl of yellow and pink tea roses, orchids, snapdragons and jonquils. A dainty corsage of roses and sweet peta, tied with yellow satin streamers, marked each individual place, while a handsome three-tiered cake, carried the greeting “Happy Birthday inscribed In yellow letters across the deep white frosting.Aides in serving included Miss Margaret Smith, California, Pa.; Miss Edith MacFarlane, Brownsville; Mrs. John A.
