WOULD PROVIDE DOUBLEDRIVEPass Christian Committee Investigates Feasibility of Launching of Hoad Construction Program.Investigations as to the feasibility of an imemdiate launching of a road construction program i Harrison county so as to provide a double beach drive along the entire beach front of the county are going forward. satisfactorily, it was said today by George R. Smith, chairman of the Pass Christian Rotary Club committee which has taken the initiative in the matter.This committee, which in addition to Mr. Smith is composed of E. A. Lang, L. A. Barksdale and Bernard Knost, is working out details of a proposal '-hat will provide the best possible road at the lease cost to the county, Mr. Smith declared, and believes that a plan can be worked out for the construction of the seawall driveway without a boad issue or any additional tax upon the county taxpayers.The proposal which is to be presented to various other setwice clubs, civic organizations, chambers of commerce and county and municipal authorities provides for the construction of the road under the terms of the Stansel road bill recently enacted by the state legislature and would come under the refuad provisions of this act whereby the county would be paid the appraised value of the road by the state and the project taken over as a part of the State Highway system.Much favorable comment as to thisPOL ICE RESERVEwiule convictsprfbori witti ntacWwc pmb.being an opportune time to begin the construction of the shore line highway has been heard since the proposal about a week ago of Mr. Smith whichmet with immediate approval on the part of the Pass Christian Rotary Club, it was said.
