He is rescued by a teen-age FrenchIt seems that when Nina lost her innocence in the war camp, she was turned into a vampire. Plain and unglamorous, she has acquired (it says here) a magnetic, virginal attraction for all males within 50 yards — including, finally, an underground veteran who had been emasculated by an explosion.
