In 1912 the house burned and the present cottage was built.It is on Highway 24-40. which Mrs. Scott watched being constructed.She now eats very little, and doesn't talk much. She doesn’t! read the newspapers anymore, since she is almost blind.“She has failed badly the past two or three years, Frank said.! “Now the doctor thinks it is just a matter of time until she dies. But she has had a good life.”Grandma Scott hasn’t been in the hospital for 12 years, the first time rite broke her leg. However, she did have to go infor x-rays the second and third times she broke that same leg. I But she came home immediately-“Sometimes Grandma talks free* rtly, Frank said She often talks c ; about her mother and the early days.
