It was their golden anniversary.Fifty years ago yesterday a quit t wedding occurred in Pella in which John Den Burger and Miss Bessie Schakel were the contracting parties The ceremony was performed by Rev.H. P. Scholte.►Soon alter their marriage they moved to a farm near Leighton, where for forty odd years they made their homo. Eight years ago they moved to Pella They have a beautiful home on East Franklin Street, in which they expect to live until their days of toil shall have ended. Mr. Den Burger is 72kyears old and his devoted wife is 69 They enjoy exceptionally good health for people of that age. These good people had the added pleasure of having most ot their children with them to help celebrate the event*Their home has been blessed with twelve children, six girls and six boys. One girl and one boy died mchildhood. Leonard and Neal wholive in Idaho, were the only two who were not present yesterday.1 Thirty-six boys and girls call these good people grandpa and grandma Twenty six ot the grandchildren were there to help, their grandparents celebrate the day.The eight children and their families that were there: The boye, John Den Burger, Bussey; Fred Den Burger, Leighton; and Ira Den Burger* Beacon. The girls, Mrs, J. H Van 1 Gorp, Dea Moines; Mrs. Joe Veen-strs; Mrs. Neal Heemstra, Mrs. Din-genian De Prenger, Leighton and Mrs. D. E.
