Beaver Pioneers Mark Golden Wedding AnniversaryHast Thursday, March 22ml,Mr. and Mrs. John Given lt;lehrated their golden wedding janniversary at their home in M;u -Mir* gor, A large number of friends (and neighbors called and extended tfieir good wishes and congratulations Many of their friends and neigh* hors from the Heaver community also visited them during the afternoon, and presented Mr and Mrs. Green with a beautiful drop-leaf walnut table and silver sandwich plate, accompanied by an address. Miss Braun, of Beaver, also presented Mrs. Green with a nire knitted shawl.Both Mr. and Mrs, Green are natives of Keith. Banffshire, Scot-. Mr. Green came to Canadain 1880. and Mrs. Green three years later. They were marriedat Heaver on March 22nd. 189f. bvti'the IUA\ L. C. Ames. Mr Hen. Richardson and his sister, Mrs. Mary Annison. attended the wedding, and were among those present last Thursday.Mr. and Mrs. Green resided on their farm at Beaver until 1013, when they moved into town. They have one daughter, Mrs. Allan Mackie, of Winnipeg, and three grandchildren, viz., L-AC.Green, of the R.CA.F., Stewart Green, of Portage, and Miss Jean Mackie. of Winnipeg. A son, Mr, John Green, passed awav in 193S.The Herald joins with theirmany friends in wishing our esteemed citizens many more years of good health and happiness to*The Address:Beaver, Man. During the many years you have spent among us,you have always proved yourselves good and worthy citizens.The part you played in the upbuilding of our district, and especially in the help and support of the church will long be remembered.
