Caldwell, who celebrated the ninetieth anniversary of his birthday, at his home on West Main street on the 23rd inst*. was born in Nicholas county, Ky.. and came to Indiana with his parents when a strip of a boy. settling* in this county in 1832. He took to wife Elizabeth Harney. Jan. 13,1850. She (tied about three years ago. Of a large family of children Mr. Caldwell:es:re• - DAVID A. C * A1.1 W KI. I..survives them all. By patient industry and frugal living- in* amassed a very! comfortable fortune, the greater part of which he has given to his children and grand children. He is living at the old homestead, with his grandson. Ed.
