Caldwell, who celebrated the ninetieth anniversary of his birthday, at his home on West Main street on the -'3rd inst.. was born in Nicholas county, Ky.. and came to Indiana with his parents when a strip of a boy. settling in this county in 1S32. He took to wife Elizabeth Harney. Jan. 13,183b. i ^ She died about three years ago. Of a ^ large family of children Mr. CaldwellDAVID A. (At.DWKI,!..survives them all. By patient industry and frugal living In* amassed a very comfortable fortune, the greater part of which he has given to his children and grand children. He is living at the old homestead, with his grandson. Ed. Caldwell, rather feeble in health and his faculties of hearing and of sight greatly impaired, yet cheerful and hopeful.
