Caldwell, who celebratedthe ninetieth anniversary of his birthday, at his home on West Main street on the 23rd inst.. was born in Nicholas county, Ky.. and came to Indiana with his parents when a strip of a boy. settling* in this county in 1832. He took to wife Elizabeth Harney, Jan. 13,183b. tj She died about three vears ago. Of a »«. .-7large family of children Mr. CaldwellDAVID A. ( AI.InVKI.I..survives them all. By patient industry and frugal living he amassed a very comfortable fortune, the greater part! w of which lie has given to his children and grand children. He is living at the old homestead, with his grandson. Ed. Caldwell, rather feeble in health and his faculties of hearing and of sight greatly impaired, yet cheerful and hopeful.
