g:1tiIBi nd Persons To Be Guests Of Lions GubEvent To Be Staged By Civic Group Shortly After Easter•' A full quota of committees is now working in preparation for the banquet for the blind to be staged by the Lions club some time after Easter, the exact date to be decided this week.Invitations to all the blind of La Crosse county and vicinity will be mailed out as soon as the date is set, and the club expects an attendance of guests in excess of a hundred, inasmuch as the invitation will include an attendant for each blind person, either a member of the family or a friend. Transportation will be arranged by the club for all blind people and their attendants within La Crosse county by the transportation committee. All blind people from the surrounding country and their attendants are welcome, it is announced, but must provide their own transportation.The entertainment committee hasarranged a program of music and a speaker from the Janesville School for the Blind has been secured.The Knights ol Columbus have tendered the use of their banquet hall for this occasion, and the event will be staged there, according to Raymond Dwyer, chairman of this committee.In order that no blind person may be overlooked, the Lions club requests that all blind people notify the club, sending their name and address upon a postal card, addressed to Lions club, in carc of the Hotel La Crosse,1The list of committees for this event, as appointed by President Myron Savage, is as follows:General chairman—Norman E.
