KINDTS GIVENGOLD SERVICEBY 92 FRIENDSNinety-two friends, now residing in Davenport, Iowa, united In presenting a golden service set to Mr. and Mrs. Charles T. Kindt, formerly of Davenport, on the occasion of their fiftieth wedding anniversary recently observed here.The service was inscribed as follows:1S81—March 22-1931 To Charles and Helen Kindt “May the Lantern of Love with Its cheery rays guide your steps along the path of Golden Milestone^ and may you be kept in safety in the hollow of God’s hand and live to enjoy many happy years in sunshine of memories and the good wishes of your friends.”Mr. and Mrs. Kindt are among Sarasota’s best known and most ] popular couples. Mr. Kindt is par- ] ticularly well-known here for the interest he takes in entertain- ! ments, being’an old-time showman. He at one time owned and managed a chain of 40 theaters. Helt;ttretired from active management of ! ^theatrical affairs when the old Bur- .tis theater burned in Davenport.He later engaged in the outdoor j advertising business until his re- ftirement several years ago. Since then. Mr. and Mrs. Kindt have spent their winters in Sarasota,itfand the summer in their Daven-I IB\port home..Mr. Kindt was bom in Sandusky, Ohio, and Mrs. Kindt was bora and raised in Chicago, 111., where their marriage took place half cen- I , tury ago. Mrs. and Mrs. Kindt have.three children, C. Roy Kindt, of Sarasota and New’ York; Mrs. William Manger, of this city: and Mrs. John A. Martinelli, of Davenport.
